Event Description

Winner of 9 Tony Awards, "Fiddler on the Roof" is set in the little village of Anatevka. The story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a tight knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical detail and requiring a cast of various ages, Reading Civic Theater is honored to have the opportunity to bring this show to the Berks County area.
After a ten year absence, local and professional actor, Barry Ciabattoni, returns to RCT in the role of Tevye supported by 33 fellow actors/actresses.
