Penn Street Bridge Traffic Rerouting

  • The exit ramp for traffic driving on 422 W to Penn Street (towards the city) will be closed. The ramp is anticipated to reopen to traffic in October 2019.

  • Traffic entering the city across the Penn Street Bridge will be reduced to one lane. The eastbound traffic will not return to two lanes until project completion which is anticipated in December of 2019.

  • The Westbound traffic across the Penn Street Bridge will remain in two lanes until the last stages of the project.

  • Between October and December of 2019 the westbound bridge traffic will also be reduced to one lane.

  • Pedestrian traffic will stay at the current location on the south side of the structure and will remain in this configuration until August of 2018.

Traveling West - PA Turnpike

Take the Morgantown Interchange exit, 176 North, for approximately 14 miles. Take the 422 West exit. From Rt. 422, exit at Penn Street. Bear right onto South Second Street. At the first intersection, turn right onto Franklin Street. At the first stop sign, turn right onto Front Street. After passing under the bridge, you'll see the Schmidt Training and Technology Center on your right. Parking is in the RACC parking garage (#9) just ahead at Front and Washington Streets. Tell the guard at the garage gate you're attending a RACC event and you'll be admitted with no charge for parking.

Traveling via 422 West from King of Prussia

From Rt. 422, exit at Penn Street. Bear right onto South Second Street. At the first intersection, turn right onto Franklin Street. At the first stop sign, turn right onto Front Street. After passing under the bridge, you'll see the Schmidt Training and Technology Center on your right. Parking is in the RACC parking garage (#9) just ahead at Front and Washington Streets. Tell the guard at the garage gate you're attending a RACC event and you'll be admitted with no charge for parking.

Traveling via Route 61

Follow Route 61 South. Take 222 South Lancaster/Lebanon exit. Take exit 422 East. From Rt. 422, exit at Penn Street. Bear right onto South Second Street. At the first intersection, turn right onto Franklin Street. At the first stop sign, turn right onto Front Street. After passing under the bridge, you'll see the Schmidt Training and Technology Center on your right. Parking is in the RACCparking garage (#9) just ahead at Front and Washington Streets. From 222 South take the exit marked 222 South Lancaster /176 /422. Continue on this bypass. Take exit 422 East. From Rt. 422, exit at Penn Street. Bear right onto South Second Street. At the first intersection, turn right onto Franklin Street. At the first stop sign, turn right onto Front Street. After passing under the bridge, you'll see the Schmidt Training and Technology Center on your right. Parking is in the RACC parking garage (#9) just ahead at Front and Washington Streets. Tell the guard at the garage gate you're attending a RACC event and you'll be admitted with no charge for parking.

ADA Information

The Miller Center for the Arts is fully ADA compliant.

HANDICAP PARKING - There is no drop off location around the perimeter of the Miller Center. It is suggested that patrons using wheelchairs or walkers and their companions park in the designated sites and then proceed to the front entrance of the building. Please do not stop along 2nd Street, as it is both illegal and unsafe.

  • Handicap parking is provided at the Front and Washington Parking Garage, level 1

HANDICAP ENTRANCES - patrons in wheelchairs and using walkers may use both front entrances, both of which are equipped with electronic door opening devices.
