For the first time in nearly a decade, our community will be able to experience a fully professional production of a classic opera, presented by Berks Opera Company. In Puccini’s La Bohème, real people experience love, friendship, poverty, illness and heartbreak. Their story unfolds through music that is soaring and passionate, fun and tragic. Puccini’s masterpiece captures the beauty and vulnerability of youth and its dreams, remaining one of the most popular operas of all time. Conducted by Brent Chancellor and directed by Joel Gori, the cast features Berks County natives Fred Schlick (Rodolfo) and Mary Fetterman (Musetta) alongside Suzannah Waddington (Mimi) and Tom Sitzler (Marcello).
